General terms and conditions

The course-prerequisites are binding and have to be fulfilled in any case.

Your registration is valid after you have received our confirmation of registration/invoice. If the course of your choice is already complete, your name will be put on a waiting list. If you do not move in, the complete fee will be returned to you, i.e. will not be collected. (Attention: registrations are valid only for the date mentioned, not for equal courses on a later date, except if you have noted an alternative date.) Please note: We can accept registrations only in written form and if payment has been executed in accordance with our payment conditions. This guarantees you your place in the course and helps us to organize courses effectively. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Course fee is due for payment three weeks before the course. The course fee contains the value added tax in compliance with the legal requirements of Germany. In case of a raise of the VAT the student will be charged accordingly (§ 29 UStG).

Upon registration you may either give us a direct debiting authorisation - in this case the course fee will be collected three weeks before the course - or enclose a collection-only cheque (no EC-cheques) for the amount of the course fee. Please date the cheque four weeks prior to the course date. If you want to register for several courses, please enclose a collection-only cheque dated forward for each course and for the amount of the respective course fee - or make use of our direct debiting procedure.

Your registration can be annulled in written form only. Withdrawals are not confirmed in written form. In case of withdrawal or change of course up to 14 days before the first course day an administrative fee of 15 Euros will be charged, on any later date (less than 14 days before the course) course fee has to be paid in full or cannot be refunded.

If the course cannot take place due to an insufficient number of participants or if the course must be rescheduled for urgent reasons, you will be noticed immediately, latest two weeks before the announced date. Fees already collected will be returned instantly. Further claims cannot be advanced. Kind request: Please register as early as possible. This does not only help to guarantee you your place in the course but also contributes to a better organization, especially in respect to possible cancellation of courses due to insufficient numbers of participants.

During the course each participant is responsible for what he or she does, receives, gives and experiences. The IAK is liable for personal fault or fault of its assignees in case of intent or gross negligence only. Any further liability is refused - no matter for which legal reason. Excepted from this is liability due to the Product Liability Law, due to explicit affirmation, due to default and due to impossibility caused on the part of the IAK. In case of default or impossibility liability is confined to the amount of one course fee.
