Metaphors and Acupressure (Online-Seminar)

This event has passed.
Ondrej Bursik

For almost the entire evolution of the human race we have communicated by sharing stories. Within these stories we find metaphoric elements. Stories or metaphors shape how we learn, communicate and discover new ways of looking at life.

Through verbal stories that hold symbolic representations, we are able to form new magical associations from ordinary common elements and this changes how we view ourselves and our past experiences. We often get drawn to the mirror of the story as it reflects our own experiences.
A great metaphor weaves its magic and indicates an outcome that allows us to view our own experiences in a new novel way.

Many of us experience unique events in our lives, however most of these are re-occurring stories that other have experienced from the beginning of time.

This course explores these stories, by looking into and covering some of the most fundamental stress patterns that we have experienced and often hold onto. It introduces metaphors that we can share with our clients so they can create new associations, a new understanding of what they are trying to let go of in their journeys. Once they understand that their pain is not so unique it is easier to let go.

However the course is much more than learning about Metaphor’s. It also integrates this with acupressure. Chinese acupressure has been used for 1000’s of years and many acupressure points help with, spiritual and psychological issues.

This course blends the world of metaphors and acupressure together, by taking a client through a story that will allow them to understand and create new connections. While at the same time holding associate acupressure points that work on the same patterns is a very powerful way of shifting stress.

I found this online-seminar incredibly useful for myself and such a great way to trigger insights from the subconscious mind. I did the metaphors and acupressure workshop and the combination of both made it even more powerful.

I will definitely use this in clinic as it is such a gentle, non-confrontational way to guide clients to a new way of viewing circumstances and situations that is making them feel stuck and unable to move forward.

It worked great, I still felt very connected to everyone and found myself easily forming meaningful discussions and interaction with the rest of the group even in our virtual break out sessions. Ondrej’s natural and heart-centered teaching style easily translates to the online space. Being a natural story teller himself, it suited this course perfectly. It was also great to be able to do it in the comfort of my own home!
